The GroundSwell Experience

The first thing visitors to GroundSwell notice is the unique balance between high-end boutique and down-home welcome. We’re professional and courteous, friendly and caring. We’re involved in the community, we remember our patients’ names and stories, and we consistently deliver the highest quality product available.

We’ve kept our retail and medical spaces separate to preserve the privacy of our existing patients, and maintain our ability to serve medical patients of all ages. Both spaces provide our patients with the GroundSwell experience and the same premium quality marijuana, edibles & concentrates.

Our Mission

To help every person who comes through our doors feel truly cared for, valued and respected.

To protect cannabis patients by providing a safe and affordable alternative to the dangerous circumstances of the illegal drug market.

To create an extraordinary environment of honesty and friendliness with a patient-centric approach.

To improve and protect the safety, tranquility, and cleanliness of our immediate neighborhood.

Our Story

Our business began in 2010 by serving those most in need of medicinal cannabis: homebound and invalid patients. Our center has evolved to meet the needs of all medical cannabis patients, and expanded in April 2015 to serve recreational cannabis to all adults over the age of 21. GroundSwell has played an integral part in the neighborhood’s growth and improvements over the last 10 years.  Our vision is to be a neighborhood resource that educates and creates awareness about responsible cannabis use and its medicinal benefits.

Most of the core GroundSwell team has lived and worked in the neighborhood for years. In conjunction with the Propaganda Labs Marketing Group, we have founded and organized large community events such as Tasty Colfax and Boo ’n Brew on Colfax Avenue. Our storefront space was home to the award-winning GroundSwell Gallery, which curated monthly art shows for the community from 2012 – 2014.

We love our neighborhood. We are committed to its preservation and success. And we plan to be here for many years to come.
